Neighborhoods we cover here
This is the eastern side of the Littleton mailing area, and one of the more confusing parts of the metro for addresses. We work in Broadway Estates, Cherry Hills Crest, Dream House Acres, Heritage Village, Ridgeview Hills North and the Preserve at Greenwood Village across 80121, and throughout 80122 to the south.
The post office says Littleton. The city, depending on which block you are on, may be Littleton, Centennial or Greenwood Village. The county, for all of it, is Arapahoe.
Why the address confusion matters
It matters less than people expect for sewer work, and that is the useful news. Because 80121 and 80122 are entirely Arapahoe County, the excavation permit comes from the same office regardless of which municipality your block technically belongs to.
Where it does matter is in who provides your water and sewer service, which varies between districts here. We confirm the service district as part of the quote, because it determines who the connection at the main belongs to and who to notify if work reaches it.
What we find in these lines
Most of this area was built out between the early 1950s and the mid-1970s, which puts it squarely in the clay and cast iron window — and inside the years Orangeburg was still being installed.
| Built | Likely lateral | Common finding |
|---|---|---|
| Early 1950s | Vitrified clay | Root intrusion, offset joints |
| 1950s–1972 | Orangeburg in places | Oval deformation, flattening |
| 1960s–1970s | Cast iron | Internal scale, invert corrosion |
If your house dates from the 1950s or 60s, Orangeburg is worth ruling out specifically. It is the one material that cannot be lined, and finding it before it flattens rather than after changes the cost of the job considerably.
Large lots, longer laterals
Dream House Acres and parts of Cherry Hills Crest were platted with substantial lots, which means laterals running 60 feet and more from house to street. That pushes open-cut pricing up and makes trenchless methods more attractive, since those are far less sensitive to length and to what is above the pipe.
Mature landscaping
The established trees through Heritage Village and Broadway Estates are old enough to have found anything leaking underground. Silver maple and ash are both well represented here and both are moderately aggressive. Root removal is one of our more frequent calls in this ZIP.

Questions we get asked
Is my address Littleton, Centennial or Greenwood Village?
ZIPs 80121 and 80122 carry a Littleton mailing address, but the municipality can be Littleton, Centennial or Greenwood Village depending on the block. For sewer work it matters less than you would expect, because both ZIPs are entirely Arapahoe County and the excavation permit comes from the same office either way.
Do you cover Heritage Village and Broadway Estates?
Yes, both sit within 80121 and we work throughout. The mature trees through these neighborhoods mean root intrusion is one of our more common findings here, particularly on the clay laterals from the earlier builds.
Could my 1960s house have Orangeburg pipe?
It is worth ruling out. Orangeburg was installed through to 1972 and parts of this area were built squarely inside that window. It deforms into an oval and then flattens, and it cannot be lined, so finding it before it fails changes the cost of the job substantially.
Why would a quote here be higher than downtown?
Lot sizes. Dream House Acres and parts of Cherry Hills Crest were platted large, so laterals run 60 feet and more against 35 to 45 downtown. Open-cut work is priced largely by the foot, which is why trenchless methods often come out ahead on these lots.
Which county issues the permit for 80122?
Arapahoe County, for all of 80121 and 80122. That is simpler than the western Littleton ZIPs, where Jefferson and Douglas both come into play depending on the address.
